Clin­i­cal Board of Directors

Paul Mer­rick, MD, Chief Physi­cian Exec­u­tive and Chair­man, Duly Health and Care

Dr. Paul Mer­rick, a board-cer­ti­­fied and renowned urol­o­gist, serves as the Chair of the Clin­i­cal Board, Co-Chair­­man of the Duly Health and Care Board and Chief Physi­cian Exec­u­tive. In his roles, Dr. Mer­rick leads the Board and physi­cians in their goal of mak­ing health­care bet­ter for patients and com­mu­ni­ties by offer­ing high-qual­i­­ty and com­pas­sion­ate care. He ensures that Duly’s physi­­cian-dri­ven approach con­tin­ues to lead to excep­tion­al physi­cian engage­ment and improved patient outcomes.

He has been in prac­tice since 1994, was a found­ing physi­cian when Duly Health and Care start­ed as DuPage Med­ical Group in 1999 and has been lead­ing the physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion since 2009. He pre­vi­ous­ly served as chair­man of the Urol­o­gy depart­ment for 13 years; he also pre­vi­ous­ly served as Pres­i­dent and Trea­sur­er of the Clin­i­cal Board. Dr. Mer­rick earned his med­ical degree from Rush Med­ical Col­lege and com­plet­ed his res­i­den­cy at Rush Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Cen­ter, where he served as chief res­i­dent of urology. 

Christi­na E. Bratis, MD, Pres­i­dent, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. Christi­na Bratis, a hos­pi­tal­ist board-cer­ti­­­fied in inter­nal med­i­cine, serves as Pres­i­dent of the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. Dr. Bratis joined Duly Health and Care in August 2009 and has served on the Clin­i­cal Board of Direc­tors since 2017. She has held many oth­er lead­er­ship roles includ­ing that of Hos­pi­tal­ist Depart­ment Chair from 2014 – 2018 and Chair of sev­er­al Board Committees.

With­in the com­mu­ni­ty, Dr. Bratis played an instru­men­tal role as the Clin­i­cal Chief of Staff of the McCormick Place Alter­nate Care Facil­i­ty, the first local field facil­i­ty built to address the city of Chica­go and state of Illi­nois’ COVID-19 response. 

She earned her med­ical degree from Rush Med­ical Col­lege, com­plet­ed her res­i­den­cy at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Illi­nois at Chica­go, and served an addi­tion­al year there as chief res­i­dent in inter­nal med­i­cine. She is affil­i­at­ed with Advo­cate Good Samar­i­tan Hos­pi­tal, Edward Hos­pi­tal, Elmhurst Hos­pi­tal and North­west­ern Med­i­cine Cen­tral DuPage Hospital. 

Abdul Sankari, MD, MBA, FACC, FCCP, Vice Pres­i­dent, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. Abdul Sankari, board cer­ti­fied in Inter­ven­tion­al Car­di­ol­o­gy, Nuclear Car­di­ol­o­gy, Crit­i­cal Care
Med­i­cine, Car­dio­vas­cu­lar Dis­ease, and Inter­nal Med­i­cine, serves on the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. He joined Duly Health and Care in 2016 after serv­ing near­ly 15 years as a prac­tic­ing physi­cian with Heart­land Car­dio­vas­cu­lar where he held numer­ous lead­er­ship roles, includ­ing group pres­i­dent.

He received his Med­ical Degree from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Alep­po, Syr­ia, where he earned the First Rank in the Grad­u­a­tion Exam at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Alep­po. Dr. Sankari com­plet­ed his intern­ship and his res­i­den­cy at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Illi­nois, Michael Reese Hos­pi­tal and Med­ical Cen­ter in Chica­go, where he was the Chief Med­ical Res­i­dent. He also com­plet­ed a fel­low­ship in Car­di­ol­o­gy at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Illi­nois at Chica­go and the Michael Reese Hos­pi­tal and Med­ical Cen­ter, where he was the Chief Car­di­ol­o­gy Fel­low. Dr. Sankari com­plet­ed a Crit­i­cal Care Fel­low­ship at Emory Uni­ver­si­ty.

Dr. Sankari serves as the Direc­tor of the Car­diac Catheter­i­za­tion Lab at Sil­ver Cross Hos­pi­tal, New Lenox. He is the past Pres­i­dent of the Heart­land Edu­ca­tion and Research Foun­da­tion. His research has been pub­lished in numer­ous peer-reviewed journals.

Mia A. Taormi­na, DO, FACOI, Sec­re­tary, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. Mia Taormi­na, board-cer­ti­­fied in Infec­tious Dis­ease and Inter­nal Med­i­cine with Hos­pi­tal Med­i­cine focus, serves on the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. Dr. Taormi­na has been a part of Duly Health and Care since 2012 and has served in var­i­ous lead­er­ship roles includ­ing as Chair of the Depart­ment of Infec­tious Dis­ease, and her lead­er­ship has been high­light­ed through­out the organization’s COVID response.

Detroit area born and raised, Dr. Taormi­na grad­u­at­ed from Michi­gan State Uni­ver­si­ty — Col­lege of Osteo­path­ic Med­i­cine with hon­ors and served as Pres­i­dent of the Stu­dent Gov­ern­ment. She com­plet­ed an Inter­nal Med­i­cine res­i­den­cy and Infec­tious Dis­ease Fel­low­ship at Beau­mont Bots­ford Hos­pi­tal in Farm­ing­ton Hills, MI where her lead­er­ship skills were fur­ther uti­lized in her roles as Chief Intern and Chief Res­i­dent dur­ing her train­ing. Dr. Taormi­na recent­ly received the hon­or of giv­ing the Keynote Address at her alma mater at the con­vo­ca­tion of osteo­path­ic med­ical school grad­u­ates at Michi­gan State Uni­ver­si­ty in 2022.

Ste­fan Nemeth, MD, Trea­sur­er, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. Ste­fan Nemeth, a board-cer­ti­fied fam­i­ly med­i­cine doc­tor, serves on the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. Dr. Nemeth has been in prac­tice for 24 years and focus­es his prac­tice on patients ages nine and old­er, with clin­i­cal inter­ests in sports injuries, dia­betes, hyper­ten­sion and arthritis.

Dr. Nemeth was the Chief of Med­ical Staff at Prove­na St. Joseph Med­ical Cen­ter in 2010. He served as Pres­i­dent of Merid­i­an Med­ical at the time that the group joined DuPage Med­ical Group in 2015. He has helped con­tin­ue to grow ser­vices in Joli­et and clin­ics serv­ing the Will Coun­ty area. He earned his med­ical degree from Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Stritch School of Med­i­cine in May­wood and com­plet­ed his res­i­den­cy at Hins­dale Hos­pi­tal. He is affil­i­at­ed with Ami­ta Health Pres­ence Saint Joseph Hos­pi­tal in Joli­et and Sil­ver Cross Hos­pi­tal in New Lenox.

David Dun­gan, MD, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. David Dun­gan, board-cer­ti­­fied in inter­nal med­i­cine, pedi­atrics, and culi­nary med­i­cine, serves as Sec­re­tary of the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. Dr. Dun­gan is an expe­ri­enced internist and pedi­a­tri­cian who spe­cial­izes in high qual­i­ty per­son­al­ized health­care for all ages. 

Dr. Dun­gan joined Duly in 1999 as one of DuPage Med­ical Group’s found­ing physi­cians; out­side of his med­ical prac­tice, he chairs the Qual­i­ty Assur­ance and Uti­liza­tion Man­age­ment Com­mit­tee of Duly Health and Care. In addi­tion, he serves on the board of the DuPage Health Coali­tion rep­re­sent­ing Duly Health and Care, is new­ly assigned to the Clin­i­cal Prac­tice Com­mit­tee for the Culi­nary Med­i­cine Spe­cial­ist Board, and is a for­mer board chair for FOR­WARD (Find­ing Oppor­tu­ni­ties that Result in Well­ness for All Res­i­dents of DuPage), a 501c3 char­i­ta­ble orga­ni­za­tion which was ded­i­cat­ed to build­ing com­­mu­ni­­ty-based sys­tems to counter the grow­ing prob­lem of chron­ic dis­ease and health dis­par­i­ties. Dr. Dun­gan is also a Fel­low of the Amer­i­can Acad­e­my of Pedi­atrics and a Fel­low of the Amer­i­can Col­lege of Physicians. 

He received his med­ical degree from Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Stritch School of Med­i­cine in May­wood. Dr. Dun­gan com­plet­ed his com­bined res­i­den­cy in inter­nal med­i­cine and pedi­atrics at Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Center/​Foster McGaw Hos­pi­tal. He is affil­i­at­ed with Advo­cate Good Samar­i­tan Hospital. 

Thomas Gal­lagher, MD, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. Thomas Gal­lagher, a board-cer­ti­­fied inter­nal med­i­cine physi­cian, serves on the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. He was one of the found­ing mem­bers of DuPage Med­ical Group in 1999 and has prac­ticed in the Hins­dale area through­out his career which began in 1992. Dr. Gal­lagher has been a site leader at the Hins­dale Clay Street loca­tion since 2009. He was also the depart­ment of med­i­cine chair­man from 2014 until 2017. He has served on numer­ous com­mit­tees over the years, includ­ing the EMR and Char­i­ta­ble Fund com­mit­tees. In 2017, Dr. Gal­lagher stepped away from lead­er­ship roles and pur­sued a master’s degree in clin­i­cal infor­mat­ics at North­west­ern. He com­plet­ed the degree in 2020 and became board-cer­ti­­fied in infor­mat­ics in 2021. 

Dr. Gal­lagher grad­u­at­ed from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Michi­gan and then attend­ed the Uni­ver­si­ty of Chica­go for med­ical school. After fin­ish­ing a res­i­den­cy at North­west­ern, he joined a small, four physi­cian med­ical prac­tice in Hins­dale. These physi­cians ulti­mate­ly became found­ing mem­bers of DuPage Med­ical Group.

Naira Hash­mi, MD, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. Naira Hash­mi, a board-cer­ti­fied inter­nal med­i­cine doc­tor, serves on the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. Dr. Hash­mi has been in prac­tice for 21 years and focus­es her prac­tice on the care of adult patients.

Dr. Hash­mi grad­u­at­ed from M.R. Med­ical Col­lege in India, com­plet­ed her res­i­den­cy in Pri­ma­ry Care Inter­nal Med­i­cine at Cook Coun­ty Hos­pi­tal and Rush Pres­by­ter­ian St. Luke’s Med­ical Cen­ter in Chica­go. She joined a pri­vate prac­tice in Naperville and con­tributed to its suc­cess­ful growth; lead­ing to an oppor­tu­ni­ty to merge with DuPage Med­ical Group in 2008. Since 2008 she has served in var­i­ous pri­ma­ry care lead­er­ship roles with­in the orga­ni­za­tion. She is a mem­ber of the Amer­i­can Med­ical Asso­ci­a­tion and the Amer­i­can Col­lege of Physi­cians and affil­i­at­ed with Edward Hospital. 

Jihad Kudsi, MD, MBA, MSF, ABOM, FACS, FASMBS, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. Jihad Kudsi, board-cer­ti­fied in surgery and obe­si­ty med­i­cine, serves on the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. Dr. Kudsi has been in prac­tice for 8 years, and focus­es his prac­tice on holis­tic care for those patients strug­gling with obe­si­ty and oth­er health con­di­tions requir­ing surgery. He serves as the Bariatric Surgery Med­ical Direc­tor at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Chica­go LaGrange Hos­pi­tal, where his lead­er­ship helps shape the course of sur­gi­cal advance­ments and patient care. He serves as Chair of the Surgery Depart­ment at Duly Health and Care, where he works to advance the group’s sur­gi­cal practices.

Dr. Kudsi earned his MBA and Mas­ter of Sci­ence in Finance from Indi­ana University’s Kel­ley School of Busi­ness in 2020. He received his med­ical degree from Alep­po Uni­ver­si­ty in Syr­ia. He com­plet­ed his res­i­den­cy in gen­er­al surgery at George Wash­ing­ton Uni­ver­si­ty and fel­low­ship train­ing in min­i­mal­ly inva­sive bariatric surgery at the Hous­ton Methodist Hos­pi­tal, Texas Med­ical Center.

Dr. Kudsi is affil­i­at­ed with North­west­ern Med­i­cine Cen­tral DuPage Hos­pi­tal and Uni­ver­si­ty of Chica­go LaGrange Hospital.

Bri­an Mus­ka, MD, Clin­i­cal Board

Dr. Bri­an Mus­ka, a board-cer­ti­­­fied gas­troen­terol­o­gist, serves on the Clin­i­cal Board of the Duly Health and Care physi­cian orga­ni­za­tion. Dr. Mus­ka has been in prac­tice for 30 years, lead­ing the growth of North­west Health­care Asso­ciates as it expand­ed its loca­tions and ser­vices, pri­or to merg­ing with DuPage Med­ical Group in 2017. 

Dr. Mus­ka has expe­ri­ence with Alex­i­an Brothers/Amita’s Clin­i­cal­ly Inte­grat­ed Net­work, includ­ing the med­ical man­age­ment com­mit­tee, ACO and Board of Directors. 

He received his med­ical degree from Ros­alind Franklin Uni­ver­si­ty of Med­i­cine and Sci­ence in North Chica­go. Dr. Mus­ka com­plet­ed his res­i­den­cy in inter­nal med­i­cine and fel­low­ship train­ing in clin­i­cal gas­troen­terol­o­gy at the Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Cen­ter. He is a fel­low of both the Amer­i­can Col­lege of Gas­troen­terol­o­gy (ACG) and the Illi­nois State Med­ical Soci­ety. He is affil­i­at­ed with Ascen­sion Alex­i­an Broth­ers Hos­pi­tal in Elk Grove Village.

Dan Green­leaf, Chief Exec­u­tive Officer

Dan Green­leaf serves as Chief Exec­u­tive Offi­cer at Duly Health and Care. He works in close part­ner­ship with lead­er­ship and clin­i­cians on advanc­ing Duly’s mis­sion of deliv­er­ing excep­tion­al clin­i­cal excel­lence and patient care while dri­ving sus­tain­able growth for the inde­pen­dent physi­cian group.

Dan brings near­ly 30 years of expe­ri­ence lead­ing health­care ser­vices orga­ni­za­tions. Most recent­ly he served as Pres­i­dent and CEO of Modi­v­care, which pro­vides a plat­form of inte­grat­ed sup­port­ive care solu­tions focused on improv­ing health out­comes. Pri­or to that he served as Pres­i­dent and CEO of Bio­Scrip, Inc., the largest inde­pen­dent provider of infu­sion and home care man­age­ment solu­tions, where he led the merg­er with Option Care Health. He also served as CEO of Home Solu­tions Infu­sion Ser­vices and Coram Spe­cial­ty Services. 

Dan grad­u­at­ed from Deni­son Uni­ver­si­ty with a Bach­e­lor of Arts in Eco­nom­ics and holds a Mas­ter of Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion in Health Admin­is­tra­tion from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mia­mi. He spent six years in the Unit­ed States Air Force where he served as an offi­cer and nav­i­ga­tor and did a tour in the first Gulf War.

Car­ol Brock­miller, CEO, Quin­cy Med­ical Group 

Car­ol Brock­miller serves as the Chief Exec­u­tive Offi­cer of Quin­cy Med­ical Group, which has been part of the Duly Health and Care brand since fall 2021. Car­ol has been part of QMG for 25 years, serv­ing as its CEO since Novem­ber 2014. Car­ol is focused on trans­form­ing health­care for res­i­dents of Cen­tral Illi­nois and the tri-states of Illi­nois, Iowa and Mis­souri and advanc­ing the organization’s cul­ture to pro­vide an unri­valed envi­ron­ment for physi­cians to deliv­er health­care, team mem­bers to build life-long careers and patients to expe­ri­ence unpar­al­leled care. 

Car­ol earned her Bachelor’s degree in Polit­i­cal Sci­ence from Quin­cy University.

Ryan West, Pres­i­dent, Duly Health and Care, Chicagoland Operations

Ryan West serves as the Pres­i­dent, Chicagoland Oper­a­tions for Duly Health and Care. In this role he part­ners with the physi­cians and lead­ers through­out the orga­ni­za­tion to ensure deliv­ery of an excep­tion­al patient expe­ri­ence. Ryan joined Duly in 2021 with more than 15 years of health­care expe­ri­ence, serv­ing in roles across con­sult­ing, strate­gic plan­ning, pop­u­la­tion health and oper­a­tions. Pri­or to join­ing Duly, Ryan served in sev­er­al pro­gres­sive lead­er­ship roles at Vil­lageMD, Ascen­sion Health, and SSM Health Care in St. Louis, MO. Most recent­ly, Ryan served as CEO of Duly’s oper­a­tion in Indi­ana under The South Bend Clin­ic brand.

Ryan is a grad­u­ate of Elon Uni­ver­si­ty in North Car­oli­na and earned his Mas­ter of Health Ser­vices Admin­is­tra­tion from Xavier University.

Ker­ri Bal­bone, Chief Rev­enue Officer

Ker­ri Bal­bone serves as Chief Rev­enue Offi­cer for Duly Health and Care. She is a vet­er­an health­care leader with more than 30 years of expe­ri­ence. In her role, Ker­ri has over­sight for our rev­enue cycle man­age­ment func­tions and pay­or con­tract­ing and part­ner­ships. Ker­ri has a strong val­ue-based care back­ground that will serve Duly well as we strength­en the VBC care mod­el that Duly is known for deliv­er­ing to patients.

Pri­or to join­ing Duly, Ker­ri served as the Chief Oper­at­ing Offi­cer of Health Net, a sub­sidiary of Cen­tene, where she led the oper­a­tions for sev­er­al of Health Net’s busi­ness­es rep­re­sent­ing three mil­lion Cal­i­for­nia mem­bers. Before join­ing Health Net, she worked at Unit­ed­Health­care where she excelled in var­i­ous lead­er­ship roles over her 16-year tenure, rang­ing from Busi­ness Inte­gra­tion, Net­work & Provider Strat­e­gy and Health Plan Oper­a­tions. She is unique­ly versed in under­stand­ing our busi­ness from a pay­or per­spec­tive and is a strong patient and physi­cian advo­cate.

Ker­ri earned her Bach­e­lor of Sci­ence degree in Health Sys­tems Man­age­ment from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Con­necti­cut and her MBA in Health Admin­is­tra­tion from Sacred Heart Uni­ver­si­ty in Fair­field, CT.

Hal­lie Diethelm, Inter­im Chief Legal Officer

Hal­lie Diethelm serves as Inter­im Chief Legal Offi­cer of Duly Health and Care. In her role, Hal­lie col­lab­o­rates with oth­er busi­ness lead­ers as she advis­es Duly on legal, reg­u­la­to­ry and com­pli­ance mat­ters. Hal­lie joined Duly in 2020 fol­low­ing pri­or roles at Sono­va Group, Jack­son Lewis PC, Ungaret­ti and Har­ris LLP and Kirk­land and Ellis.

Hal­lie holds a bachelor’s degree in from The Ohio State Uni­ver­si­ty and a juris doc­tor­ate from The Ohio State Uni­ver­si­ty Moritz Col­lege of Law.

Paul Dumas, Chief Human Resources Officer

Paul Dumas serves as Chief Human Resources Offi­cer of Duly Health and Care. He is a glob­al, human cap­i­tal busi­ness and oper­a­tions leader with more than 25 years’ expe­ri­ence in both pub­licly trad­ed and pri­vate­ly held high-growth orga­ni­za­tions. At Duly, Paul leads our human resources team in Duly’s con­tin­ued com­mit­ment to fos­ter­ing an inclu­sive work­place where diverse tal­ents can flour­ish. He is a strate­gic part­ner with col­leagues on the man­age­ment team, align­ing HR ini­tia­tives with busi­ness goals while ensur­ing employ­ee well-being and engagement. 

Pri­or to join­ing Duly, Paul served as Chief Human Resources Offi­cer for Cision, a Chica­go-based, glob­al leader in mar­ket­ing and com­mu­ni­ca­tions and pre­vi­ous­ly as the Chief Human Resources Offi­cer for Fis­erv, the glob­al leader of finan­cial ser­vices tech­nol­o­gy and solu­tions. Paul has held lead­er­ship posi­tions at U.S. Anes­the­sia Part­ners, Mer­ck, Pep­si-Cola and Hyatt. 

Paul earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resources & Orga­ni­za­tion Devel­op­ment from the Uni­ver­si­ty of San Fran­cis­co, spe­cial­ized train­ing through the Human Resources Exec­u­tive Pro­gram at Stan­ford Uni­ver­si­ty, and a Bachelor’s degree from John­son & Wales University.

Don­ald Hoscheit, MD, Chief Med­ical Officer

Dr. Don­ald Hoscheit, a prac­tic­ing board-cer­ti­­fied gas­troen­terol­o­gist, serves as the Chief Med­ical Offi­cer of Duly Health and Care. He has been in prac­tice at Duly for more than 35 years and has held many lead­er­ship roles with­in and out­side the orga­ni­za­tion. In addi­tion to serv­ing as Chief Med­ical Offi­cer, he leads many of Duly’s inter­nal com­mit­tees and shares respon­si­bil­i­ty for uphold­ing the integri­ty and account­abil­i­ty of the staff while empow­er­ing them to best serve the mem­bers of our com­mu­ni­ty who come to us for care. 

He earned his med­ical degree from the Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Stritch School of Med­i­cine and com­plet­ed his intern­ship, res­i­den­cy in inter­nal med­i­cine and fel­low­ship train­ing in clin­i­cal gas­troen­terol­o­gy at the Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Cen­ter. He is a fel­low of both the Amer­i­can Col­lege of Gas­troen­terol­o­gy (ACG) and the Amer­i­can Gas­troen­tero­log­i­cal Asso­ci­a­tion (AGA).

Chris Nash, Chief Tech­nol­o­gy Officer

Chris Nash serves as the Chief Tech­nol­o­gy Offi­cer of Duly Health and Care, where he leads a team of near­ly 200 tech­nol­o­gists and engi­neers. Pri­or to join­ing Duly Health and Care in 2022, Chris served as CIO of Adtalem Glob­al Edu­ca­tion where he helped trans­form Adtalem into a lead­ing edu­ca­tor of doc­tors, nurs­es, and vet­eri­nar­i­ans. In 2019, Nash was award­ed Chica­go CIO of the Year for Large Enter­pris­es. Chris has held numer­ous man­age­ment and exec­u­tive posi­tions with a vari­ety of tech­nol­o­gy orga­ni­za­tions from Kraft Foods and Mill­ward Brown to Shorr Pack­ag­ing. His tech­nol­o­gy expe­ri­ence spans across dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion, eCom­merce, data ana­lyt­ics, AI, cloud migra­tion, and more. 

Chris earned his MBA from North­west­ern Uni­ver­si­ty and his Bachelor’s degree from Beloit College. 

John Por­cel­li, MD, Pres­i­dent, Physi­cian Group Operations

Dr. John Por­cel­li, board-cer­ti­­fied in crit­i­cal care, pul­monary med­i­cine and sleep med­i­cine, serves as 
Pres­i­dent of Physi­cian Group Oper­a­tions at Duly Health and Care. Dr. Por­cel­li works close­ly with the Duly lead­er­ship team to opti­mize patient care, pro­mote physi­cian engage­ment, dri­ve strate­gic growth ini­tia­tives, and cre­ate oper­a­tional efficiencies. 

In prac­tice at Duly Health and Care since 2004 as doc­tor #156, he pre­vi­ous­ly served as Pres­i­dent and Trea­sur­er of the Clin­i­cal Board of Direc­tors, Chair­man of Duly’s pulmonary/​critical care/​sleep med­i­cine depart­ment, Med­ical Direc­tor of the inten­sive care unit at a local hos­pi­tal, Chief Med­ical Offi­cer of McCormick Place Alter­nate Care Facil­i­ty, Med­ical Direc­tor of Pre­mier Med­ical Equip­ment, Chair­per­son of Duly’s Com­pen­sa­tion Com­mit­tee, Mem­ber of Duly’s Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee, and leader of sev­er­al oth­er inter­nal and exter­nal com­mit­tees. As a prac­tic­ing physi­cian, he brings exten­sive expe­ri­ence in treat­ing lung can­cer, COPD, acute lung injury, asth­ma, sleep dis­or­ders and sep­sis. His favorite part of his job is see­ing patients, recruit­ing tal­ent­ed, pas­sion­ate physi­cians to this unique mod­el, and sup­port­ing the Duly Health and Care Char­i­ta­ble Fund in an effort to give back to the community. 

Dr. Por­cel­li earned his under­grad­u­ate degree from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Notre Dame and his med­ical degree from Rush Med­ical Col­lege. He com­plet­ed his res­i­den­cy in inter­nal med­i­cine at Rush Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Cen­ter and lat­er com­plet­ed fel­low­ship train­ing in pul­monary, crit­i­cal care and sleep med­i­cine at Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Cen­ter, where he also served as chief fellow.

Charleen Rec­to Phillips, Chief Account­ing Officer

Charleen Rec­to Phillips serves as Chief Account­ing Offi­cer at Duly Health and Care. In this role, Char is respon­si­ble for our account­ing and finan­cial con­trols frame­work. Char has more than 17 years of pro­gres­sive account­ing expe­ri­ence. She is focused on lead­ing and inte­grat­ing the account­ing, finan­cial report­ing and sys­tem imple­men­ta­tions teams to ensure sup­port for con­tin­ued growth. Char worked in var­i­ous pri­vate equi­ty-backed com­pa­nies in dif­fer­ent indus­tries includ­ing health­care and tech­nol­o­gy. Most recent­ly, Char held the role of SVP, Account­ing at Health­comp where she man­aged the cor­po­rate account­ing, accounts payable, accounts receiv­able and account­ing oper­a­tions func­tions for the pri­vate equi­ty backed Third Par­ty Admin­is­tra­tor. Pri­or to Health­comp, she served as VP, Con­troller at Mil­wau­kee based Advi­cent (now part of Invest­Cloud) and VP and Con­troller at Cen­tro (now Basis Technologies).

Char holds a bachelor’s degree with dual major in Accoun­tan­cy and Man­age­ment from DePaul Uni­ver­si­ty. She received her Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion in Pub­lic Account­ing in Illi­nois in 2015. 

Dana Rye, Chief Val­ue Based Care Officer

Dana Rye serves as Chief Val­ue Based Care Offi­cer. She leads our val­ue-based care strat­e­gy and pro­gram man­age­ment, includ­ing ana­lyt­ics, care man­age­ment and pop­u­la­tion health man­age­ment. She joins Duly Health and Care from US Renal Care, a nation­al provider of kid­ney and dial­y­sis ser­vices. She served as Senior Vice Pres­i­dent, Val­ue Based Care Oper­a­tions. She led mul­ti­ple val­ue based care pro­grams, respon­si­ble for strat­e­gy, oper­a­tional exe­cu­tion, and physi­cian rela­tion­ships. She stood up the company’s first val­ue-based care pro­gram nation­al­ly, gen­er­at­ing suc­cess­ful out­comes in near­ly all mar­kets. Final­ly, she built and led the Trans­plant Oper­a­tions team, respon­si­ble for sup­port­ing patients nav­i­gat­ing the trans­plant process. She began her USRC tenure sup­port­ing growth and oper­a­tions for home therapies. 

Pri­or to US Renal Care, Dana held Busi­ness Devel­op­ment and Oper­a­tions roles at OneOn­col­o­gy, an MSO for com­mu­ni­ty oncol­o­gists, help­ing to build the de novo orga­ni­za­tion and physi­cian net­work. She joined the pri­vate-equi­ty backed health­care ser­vices space from McK­in­sey & Com­pa­ny, where she worked in the Health­care Sys­tems & Ser­vices prac­tice. She began her career at Cred­it Suisse, most recent­ly serv­ing as a Vice Pres­i­dent in the High Yield group cov­er­ing health­care companies.

Dana holds an MBA from Har­vard Busi­ness School, an MPP from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Gov­ern­ment, and a BA from Mid­dle­bury Col­lege. Dana serves on the board of Fight Col­orec­tal Cancer.

Paul Tra­vers, Inter­im Chief Finan­cial Officer 

Paul Tra­vers serves as the Inter­im Chief Finan­cial Offi­cer at Duly Health and Care. At Duly, Paul is respon­si­ble for strate­gic and finan­cial plan­ning, cash man­age­ment, account­ing, bud­get­ing and finan­cial report­ing. He brings near­ly 30 years of finan­cial and busi­ness devel­op­ment expe­ri­ence across var­i­ous busi­ness­es to his role at Duly. He joined Duly in 2019 as Vice Pres­i­dent, Finan­cial Plan­ning and Analy­sis. Pri­or to join­ing Duly he served as Vice Pres­i­dent of Finance at Allscripts; he also worked at Deloitte and Val­ue Line.

Paul received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fair­field Uni­ver­si­ty before earn­ing his MBA in Finance and Account­ing from The Uni­ver­si­ty of Chica­go Booth School of Business.
