Tania Becke MD, MPH completed her residency in Pediatrics and practiced for several years prior to obtaining her Master of Public Health (MPH). While completing her MPH she worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Kane County Health Department on various research studies focused on maternal child health issues. In 2006, she completed her MPH and joined the Office of Research at DuPage Medical Group as a Clinical Research Physician.
Since joining DuPage Medical Group Dr. Becke has been a sub-investigator on numerous studies. She has also assisted in writing protocols, abstracts, and manuscripts for publication.
In her free time, she enjoys baking, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Shraddha Desai, M.D. is a Clinical Research Associate with DuPage Medical Group. She has been a part of the group for almost three years, conducting clinical trials and primary research, writing papers and presenting her work in the field of dermatology. She received the 2009 ASDS Review Article Incentive Program award for her manuscript on paradoxical hypertrichosis and was recently invited to lecture on this topic at the EPS Global Trauma Symposium in China. Dr. Desai mainly works on-site at the CityGate Dermatology office and will be starting her Dermatology residency in July of 2011 at Loyola University Medical Center.
Dr. Desai received her medical degree from Rush University in 2007 and completed her preliminary Internal Medicine year at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in 2008. Since then, Dr. Desai has worked jointly with DuPage Medical Group, Northwestern University, and Loyola University carrying out clinical trials. “I chose to conduct clinical research in order to further my knowledge in dermatology and work with up-and-coming technologies and medications,” said Desai.
In her free time, Dr. Desai enjoys spending time with her family, working out, trying new recipes, and unwinding with a good book.

Karen Frizelis has been a Research Nurse Practitioner with DuPage Medical Group since July of 2005. She is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 15years of experience and a certified Clinical Research Professional by the Society of Clinical Research Associates since 2006.
Karen’s primary focus in research is dermatology where she splits her time between Naperville/CityGate and Wheaton/Town Square. Karen has also been involved in a variety of other research projects, including breast implant and ophthalmology studies. Her passion for learning about disease treatments led her to Clinical Research.
When Karen Frizelis is not conducting research, she enjoys spending time at her lake house and boating with her husband on Bass Lake, in Indiana.

Fatima Khan is the newest member of the Research team. She joined DuPage Medical Group in 2009 as a Research Nurse Coordinator. Fatima has embraced the opportunity of taking part in finding new treatments and medical devices that will better society. Currently Fatima works primarily in the Winfield Cardiology location, but is also involved in vascular research and other projects.
Fatima is a registered nurse and a registered teacher. “I enjoy caring for others,” said Fatima, “I really think it makes a tremendous difference to people when they know that they can count on me to help them.”
When she is not conducting clinical trials in cardiology, Fatima enjoys spending time with her children – playing games and going places with them. She also likes reading mystery novels, cooking, and making crafts with her kids.

Trish Meschino has been practicing with DuPage Medical Group as a Research Nurse Coordinator since 2007. Meschino is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, receiving her certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in 2009. “Research is exciting, new and evolving. I am exposed to the latest development of drugs and the potential benefit they may offer. Research offers a patient an opportunity to participate and become engaged in their medical care. It gives a patient the possibility of receiving a new treatment that is not currently available to the public-cutting edge therapy.”
Trish has been a nurse for over 24 years. She dedicates over 50% of her time to conduct oncology research. The remainder of her time is spent between other therapeutic areas.
When not conducting research, Trish enjoys cooking, gardening, reading a good book, scrapbooking, and traveling. She also enjoys walking and biking on a cool sunny day.

Rowie Tran joined DuPage Medical Group as a Clinical Research Nurse in 2008. She has been practicing for 11 years as a Registered Nurse. Rowie recently obtained her Certification of Clinical Research from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
Rowie is a roaming research coordinator involved in many primary care and specialty studies including urology and pulmonary medicine. “It is very rewarding to know that the data and information we collect helps to shape future treatments, and hopefully makes a positive impact in the lives of our patients.”
In her free time, Rowie enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She likes to crochet and play a challenging game of Sudoku
