As an experienced member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, and the current Department Chairman, Dr. Gruener brings her training and knowledge in imaging to the diagnosis of a range of illnesses and conditions. She works in close consultation with primary care and specialty physicians, helping achieve the best possible results for patients.
Dr. Gruener earned her medical degree in 1980 from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Internship and Residency at the Olympia Fields Medical Center and the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, which included extensive residency training at Michael Reese Hospital. She also completed a mini-fellowship in neuroradiology at High Tech Medical Park.
Dr. Gruener is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society, the American Osteopathic Association, the Illinois Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
