Julie Fischer, PTA, joined the DuPage Medical Group’s team of therapists in 2007. She has nearly 20 years of experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, but especially enjoys that challenges that come with treating the variety of orthopedic injuries seen at DMG. Julie is a 1991 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor or Science degree in Physical Education (emphasis in Exercise Physiology) and holds an Associates degree in Applied Science Physical Therapy. Julie treats patients at several of our therapy clinics, including Glen Ellyn and Wheaton.
In addition to her experience in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, Julie is also experienced in community education, having instructed classes in Aquatic Therapy for arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, and pregnancy. Julie continually expands her treatment techniques and clinical knowledge by participating in nationally recognized seminars and manual therapy courses by Paris, Mulligan, and McKenzie. She believes in a team approach to treating her patients and enjoys collaborating with her fellow therapists to achieve the best possible outcome for her patients.
