DuPage Medical Group is pleased to introduce Dr. Vernon Cannon as a member of our Obstetrics and Gynecology department. Dr. Cannon is board eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has clinical expertise in obstetrics, gynecology and dealing with sexually transmitted diseases. He is also very well trained in surgery including; gynecologic, vaginal and abdominal surgeries.
Dr. Cannon completed medical school at the University of Medicine of New Jersey. He then went on to the residency program at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Cannon worked as a Research Assistant Professor for the Departments of Gynecology Oncology at Evanston Hospital, affiliated with Northwestern University. He has received numerous awards throughout his schooling, including Wolf Utian Surgical Award, Executive Chief Resident at Case Western Reserve, Senior Resident Research Award and the 2007 American Association of Cancer Research Minority Scholar Award. He is affiliated with Central DuPage Hospital and The Center for Surgery.
