DuPage Medical Group is proud to have Dr. Prathima Neerukonda on staff with its Department of Ophthalmology. Specializing in Cataracts, Glaucoma management, Laser surgery, and Glaucoma surgery, Dr. Neerukonda offers valuable expertise to the staff and patients of DuPage Medical Group.
Dr. Neerukonda earned her Bachelors degree with honors from Washington University in St. Louis, with a double major in Biology and Psychology. Prior to matriculating to medical school, she joined the AmeriCorps program, which is dedicated to completing a year of service to the community. She then went on to graduate at the top of her medical school class at the Chicago Medical School with numerous honors and accolades. Dr. Neerukonda completed her residency in Ophthalmology at The George Washington University in Washington, DC where she was named Chief Resident. Before joining DuPage Medical Group, Dr. Neerukonda completed an intensive fellowship in Glaucoma Management and Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She also has a strong desire to continue her medical mission trips after conducting a surgical eye expedition to the Philippines in 2007.
Dr. Neerukonda is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the Illinois State Medical Society. She is also affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital.
