Jacqueline Tack, RN, CDE graduated from St. Lukes Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago (currently Rush) and later received a BA in Health Science at Governor State University. Shortly after arriving in Glen Ellyn, she was asked to work at C.O.D. in the Student Health Service. Several years later, she moved to the Nursing Department to set up a Nursing Skills and Media Lab for Nursing students.
In 1977 she came to Glen Ellyn Clinic to work with Dr. Mark Heymann in the Department of Medicine. Within a few years, the Diabetes Education Program was developed by the team and received A.D.A. recognition (the first clinic in the state of Illinois). Jackie feels privileged to work with such a great team and wonderful patients doing something she has enjoyed so much.
