Dr. Olmstead received her medical degree in 1989 from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital of St. Louis.
Dr. Olmstead is a member of the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine and the American Medical Association. She is affiliated with Central DuPage Hospital.
