As a member of our Orthopaedic Department, Dr. Asselmeier specializes in sports injuries and rehabilitation. He has fellowship training in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine. He joined our group in 1992. Dr. Asselmeier cares for numerous local high school and college athletes. He frequently teaches advanced surgical techniques on a national level to practicing orthopaedic surgeons. He has particular interest in knee and shoulder reconstruction.
Dr. Asselmeier received his medical degree in 1986 from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his Residency at the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. and an athroscopic Sports Medicine Fellowship in Richmond, VA.
Dr. Asselmeier is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is affiliated with Central DuPage, Edward and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
