Barbara Stolte graduated from the West Suburban Hospital School of Nursing and then received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. After several years as head nurse of a medical unit in the hospital, she began working in outpatient primary care settings and continues to find that a rewarding area of practice today.
Having joined the DuPage Medical Group Hinsdale office in 2001, she works primarily with Dr. Grant Sievertsen, chairman of the DuPage Medical Group department of endocrinology. In this setting, Barbara has developed a growing interest in assisting patients with diabetes to understand and manage their illness. She is currently a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and is working toward certification as a diabetic educator.
