Jennifer Wright, PT joined our staff in 2009. She earned her Physical Therapy degree at University of Illinois-Chicago in 1990 and her Masters in Health Sciences in 2000 from the University of Indianapolis. Jennifer has over 20 years of experience working in Orthopedic and Sports Medicine physical therapy settings. Additionally, Jennifer achieved her Clinical Instructor Certification in 2002, which enables her to mentor and teach physical therapy students from area universities.
Jennifer is highly experienced in the treatment of all orthopedic diagnoses. She especially enjoys working with both non-surgical and post-surgical spine patients, as well as patients with postural dysfunctions. Her treatment approach includes manual therapy, joint mobilization, functional manual release techniques, and Pilates-based core strengthening exercises. Jennifer has extensive training in manual therapy techniques for the spine, pelvis, and extremities through attendance at nationally recognized seminars such as Paris, McKenzie, Maitland, and Mulligan courses. Jennifer strives to empower her patients by providing them with a thorough understanding of their diagnosis and the purpose of each specific treatment technique.
Jennifer is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is a community health education speaker, having lectured at local health fairs and support groups. Jennifer is also the author of numerous newspaper articles on topics such as Correct Posture and Body Mechanics for Activities of Daily Living.
