As a member of our Cardiology Department, Dr. Geannopoulos specializes in the treatment and prevention of heart and vascular diseases. Dr. Geannopoulos joined our Clinic on July 1, 1991, and has particular interest in angioplasty, coronary stent placement and treatment of hypertension.
Dr. Geannopoulos received his medical degree in 1985 from the University of Chicago. He completed his Internship and Residency at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. In addition, he completed a Fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL.
Dr. Geannopoulos is a member of the American Medical association, American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. Dr. Geannopoulos is a strong believer in patient education and prevention and feels that improving the quality of life is often just as important as maximizing the length of life.
Dr. Geannopoulos practices at our Winfiled, Downers Grove, and Naperville locations with privileges at Edward, Good Samaritan, and Central DuPage hospitals.
