Working in collaboration with Dr. Weinberg and our Electrophysiology department, Jessica Jones provides acute and chronic management of patients with heart disease and arrhythmias. In both the inpatient and outpatient setting, she is involved in the pre and post-operative coordination of patient care for those undergoing ablation, pacemaker, or defibrillator procedures. Ms. Jones performs device interrogations and reprogramming, inpatient tilt table testing, and assists in the electrophysiology laboratory.
Ms. Jones earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2002 and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007. She received her board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2007.
She has co-authored a publication on fatigue and women and heart disease, and continues to participate in research and enrollment of the electrophysiology patient population. Ms. Jones is a member of the Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nurses, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the Heart Rhythm Society. She is affiliated with Central DuPage Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Edward Hospital.
