Dr. Joseph Martin specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been in practice since 1997.
Dr. Martin received both his undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts and his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Martin's professional goals are to provide modern and compassionate care for women in all stages of their lives. He stays clinically current, working with patients to form an individual plan of care. Dr. Martin is interested in all facets of women's healthcare, including full obstetric care and gynecologic surgery. He does, however, have particular interests in high-risk obstetrics, the management of abnormal bleeding, and the evaluation of women with pap smear abnormalities.
Dr. Martin currently holds appointments at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL and Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was chosen for the Magnet Doctor Award by nurses at Edward Hospital, where he was recognized for his quality patient care and his good rapport with the hospital staff. Outside of work, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
