DuPage Medical Group is pleased to welcome Dr. Thomas J. Van Osdol to the Asthma and Allergy Center. Dr. Van Osdol is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and by the American Board of Pediatrics. While he treats a variety of allergic conditions, he has special interests in the evaluation and management of children and adults with persistent asthma, atopic dermatitis, chronic cough and recurrent infections.
Dr. Van Osdol attended Augustana College where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa Cum Laude. After receiving a Masters of Science degree from the University of Illinois, he completed Medical School at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Van Osdol then went on to the Phoenix Children's Hospital for residency, and in 2004 he finished his fellowship training in Asthma, Allergy and Immunology at the University of Missouri and Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Van Osdol has published numerous articles in medical journals and has lectured on a variety of topics within his specialty. Before joining DuPage Medical Group, he was on staff at the Arizona Asthma and Allergy Institute.
Dr. Van Osdol is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is affiliated with Edward, Good Samaritan and Central DuPage Hospitals. He is a music enthusiast and will never turn down a good cup of coffee. He is married with one son.
