Dr. Kalmar brings comprehensive training and compassion to the surgical treatment and correction of foot disorders. She graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin and also served in the U.S. Army Reserve, earning the Army Achievement and National Defense medals in 1991 for her work in Operation Desert Storm.
Dr. Kalmar received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1999 from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Medicine in Chicago. She completed a three-year Podiatric Surgical Residency in the Department of Surgery at the Veterans Administration Chicago Healthcare Systems. Dr. Kalmar has extensive training in conservative and surgical management of diabetic podiatric complications and has a strong background and interest in sports medicine and nutrition.
She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. She has spoken at several national conferences on the latest podiatric procedures and research. Dr. Kalmar is affiliated with the Center for Surgery, Loyola Ambulatory Surgery Center, Suburban Surgery Center of DuPage, Valley Surgery Center, Good Samaritan Hospital and Hinsdale Hospital.
