A very well trained physician, Dr. Lara Theobald brings her expertise of Hematology Oncology to DuPage Medical Group. Dr. Theobald is board certified in Oncology and board eligible in Hematology.
Dr. Theobald completed her undergraduate degree, Magna Cum Laude, at the University of Oklahoma. She completed her fellowship in Medical Oncology at Texas A&M University, Scott and White Memorial Hospital. While completing her residency Dr. Theobald conducted numerous research projects dealing with cancers, and has also made several presentations on the topic. In 2006 Dr. Theobald was awarded first place for the Internal Medicine Research Day for her findings on the Late Relapse Associated with Polysomic Breast Cancer'. Dr. Theobald has received numerous awards during her oncology training including; Chief Resident while at University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Academic Leadership Award, as well as a recipient of the Humanitarian Award.
Dr. Theobald is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. She has been affiliated with the Texas Medical Association, the Bell County Medical Association, the Tulsa County Medical Association, the Scott and White Cancer Screening Program, and the Hospice of Central Oklahoma. Dr. Theobald practices general oncology and hematology and is affiliated with Central DuPage, Edward and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
