Ms. Kopeny has been working alongside our physicians at Midwest Internists since 1996. A dedicated and caring Board Certified Physician Assistant, Ms. Kopeny leverages her rich, diverse internship experience in her daily work at our clinic. During her training at the Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program, she completed clinical rotations in Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Primary Care, Neurology, Surgery Obstetrics/Gynecology, Family Medicine, Gerontology, and Internal Medicine at Chicago-area hospitals and clinics. Ms. Kopeny is trained to evaluate and treat patients for routine healthcare issues and a large spectrum of common illnesses and disorders. As a Physician Assistant, she regularly attends medical conferences to keep current with the changing climate of healthcare and the needs of her patients.
Ms. Kopeny earned her Master of Medical Science degree in 1996 through Midwestern University’s Physician Assistant Program in Downers Grove where she completed her Master’s thesis in Women’s Healthcare Issues. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1992 from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Ms. Kopeny is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants.
