In addition, he has received numerous teaching awards and has conducted various clinical research studies. Dr. Vercelli received his medical degree in 1988 from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, where he also served as an emergency room attending physician.
Dr. Vercelli is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society and the Chicago Medical Society. He is affiliated with Edward and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
