As a member of our Otolaryngology Department, Dr. Ung enjoys evaluating and caring for patients of all ages with diseases of the ears, nose and throat. His clinical interests include the management of sinus disease, hearing loss, thyroid disorders and head and neck cancer. He specializes in the treatment of sinus disease with particular interest in endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques to treat chronic sinus conditions. The results of his research have been presented at national and regional meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Ung received his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. After an internship in General Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital, he completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the Harvard Medical School Residency Program in Otolaryngology. He then completed intensive, specialized fellowship training in Rhinology and Sinus Disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Prior to joining the DuPage Medical Group, he practiced in Boston for several years as an attending physician at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. As part of his duties there, he has lectured at Harvard Medical School and was involved with medical student and resident education.
Dr. Ung is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Ð Head and Neck Surgery, the American Rhinologic Society, and the American Laryngological, Rhinological, and Otological Society. He is affiliated with Central DuPage, Edward and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
