With his expertise in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine, Dr. Ellis specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of athletes of all skill-levels and ages. Prior to coming to DuPage Medical Group, Dr. Ellis completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine where he cared for the St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues professional sports teams as well as the Washington University collegiate teams. His academic and professional experience is highlighted by multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, numerous book chapters, and many presentations at national meetings.
Dr. Ellis received his undergraduate degree in 1998 from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He earned his medical degree in 2002 at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Ellis completed his general surgery internship at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA in 2003. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery training at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center in 2007.
