With his expertise in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Lombardi specializes in diagnosis and treatment of adults and children. Although he practices general orthopaedic surgery, he has a special interest in minimally invasive total hip arthroplasty and sports medicine. Prior to coming to DuPage Medical Group, Dr. Lombardi was the Physician Director of the Total Joint Program at Highline Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, where he also sat on the Quality and Credentials Committee. His academic and professional experience is highlighted by multiple publications, including several research abstracts and peer reviewed manuscripts.
Dr. Lombardi received his undergraduate degree in 1987 from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. From 1987-1988, he moved on to the University of Cincinnati to study graduate level Biochemistry and Immunology. Dr. Lombardi received his medical degree in 1992 from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. In 1993, he completed his internship in General Surgery at Mount Carmel Medical Center, where he also completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from 1993-1998.
Dr. Lombardi is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Illinois State Medical Association, and the Illinois State Orthopedic Association. Dr. Lombardi is affiliated with Central DuPage and Edward Hospitals.
