Dr. Janet Kamer is a clinical psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist. Her interests include anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder, dementia, depression, military psychology, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, and traumatic brain injury. She also specializes in family and marital counseling.
Dr. Kamer received her Ph. D. in clinical psychology from Loyola University in 1981. She had postgraduate training at Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Neurology. Prior to joining DuPage Medical Group Dr. Kamer was a clinical psychologist at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL. From 1982-2006, she also maintained a private practice in Wheaton.
Dr. Kamer is a Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves attached to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, Deployment Health Support Directorate. She is also member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, American Board of Forensic Examiners, and Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.
