Neil S. Agruss, M.D. is a founding cardiologist of the Cardiology Department of DuPage Medical Group. He has practiced in DuPage County for nearly 30 years, and has contributed to the development of cardiology programs at several of the hospitals in the county. He is especially interested in Hypertension, CT Angiography, together with strong emphasis on preventative care.
Dr. Agruss attended the University of Illinois Medical School and completed his internship. He then obtained training in cardiology at the University of Cincinnati under Noble O. Fowler, M.D., an internationally renowned cardiologist. Following his cardiology fellowship, he remained at the University of Cincinnati as an assistant professor and director of the coronary care unit at Cincinnati General Hospital while pursing a career in clinical research and teaching. He left academic medicine in 1974 to begin his career in the private practice of cardiology with the then Glen Ellyn Clinic.
Dr. Agruss practices at our Winfield location with privileges at Edward, Good Samaritan, and Central DuPage hospitals.
