As a founding member of the hospitalist group, Dr. Bratis is committed to the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of her patients. She believes that excellent medical care begins with a focus on patient advocacy and patient education. Her areas of interest include diabetes, hypertension, gastrointestinal disorders, and preventive health.
Dr. Bratis was in the Campus Honors Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology. She also studied at the University of East Anglia in England and Universitaet Regensburg in Germany. She received her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago in 2005. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008, and was honored to serve an additional year as Chief Medical Resident.
Her interests outside of medicine include backpacking, traveling, and cooking. To stay active she runs, cycles, and competes in triathlons. She also speaks German.
