An enthusiastic patient advocate, Dr. Said is one of the founding members of the Dupage Medical Group Hospitalist program. His emphasis on total care of the patient, including physical, mental, and spiritual health, is in keeping with the vision of the hospitalist group. Dr. Said has special interests in Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, and the prevention of hospital-associated infections.
Dr. Said received his undergraduate degrees in Cellular/Molecular Biology and History at the University of Washington in Seattle, and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He received his medical degree at Drexel Med in Philadelphia.. Dr. Said completed his residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and served as Chief Resident in the combined program of Internal Medicine-Pediatrics. He has completed medical experiences abroad in Brazil, Jordan, and Palestine.
Dr. Said is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is affiliated with Central Dupage Hospital. Dr. Said enjoys traveling, the study of languages, and competitive team sports. He has traveled to over forty countries and is conversant in several languages.
