Dr. Fisher is a talented clinician and surgeon with extensive training in urology and urologic oncology with specialization in minimally invasive treatments including robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He is fellowship trained in urologic oncology and has expertise in early detection, prognosis and surgical treatment of urologic cancers (prostate, kidney and bladder). Dr. Fisher’s clinical interests are in urologic oncology, urologic reconstruction and utilizing the latest technology to offer the highest rate of success while maximizing quality of life. His primary goal is to offer all available treatments for optimal outcomes to cure and improve the quality of life of his patients.
Dr. Fisher believes the key components to patient care are having the expertise to formulate an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan, then taking the time to communicate all aspects of care with his patients.
Dr. Fisher earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in 2001 where he also completed his urology residency in 2006. In July of 2009, he completed a three year urologic oncology fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He has spoken at national conferences on the diagnosis of disease, outcomes of surgery, as well as new cancer treatments and outcomes. Dr. Fisher has numerous publications, editorials and reviews in the urologic literature. He is currently on staff at Central DuPage, Edward and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
