DuPage Medical Group is proud to welcome Dr. Anthony Fernandez to the Department of Family Medicine. He will be joining the staff at the DuPage Medical Group location in Woodridge. Dr. Fernandez is an experienced and caring physician, specializing in Adult Diabetes, Hypertension, and Heart Disease.
Dr. Fernandez received his bachelors degree at the University of Iowa, gaining experience in genetic mapping and histochemical staining. He went on to receive his Doctorate at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, during which time he helped create physician guidelines for diabetes in minority patients. Dr. Fernandez completed his residency at MacNeal Family Practice in Berwyn, IL, working in an urgent care clinic his final year and volunteering one summer in various rural and urban clinics in Havana, Cuba.
Dr. Fernandez is a board certified physician. He is affiliated with Central DuPage and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
