Dr. Nelson, a board certified Family Medicine physician, is a graduate of Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn and has been in private practice since 1987. Dr. Nelson is experienced in the field of chemical dependency treatment and was the medical director of Parkside Lodge of DuPage for four years. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Nelson is especially interested in physical fitness, chemical dependency treatment, patient education and wellness. He is affiliated with Edward and Good Samaritan Hospitals.
