We welcome you to our website and would like to share information about our medical practice. Since 1981, Wheaton Family Practice at Mona Kea has been a medical home for people in our community. Our philosophy has always been to put the needs of our patients first. Whether that need is to treat an acute illness, manage a chronic disease, or facilitate healthy lifestyle changes, we are available for you and want to develop a relationship that promotes good health. We believe the responsibility for care and coordination of care resides with one’s personal physician who works in conjunction with other health care providers. As part of DuPage Medical Group, we have access to current technology and can refer to outstanding specialists while continuing our goal to provide the best primary care to those we serve. We are pleased to provide biographical information about our two physicians, Beverly C. Glas, M.D. and John B. Pace, M.D., Ph.D. Beverly Glas is one of two physicians who founded Wheaton Family Practice at Mona Kea 28 years ago. After receiving her M.D. from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Dr. Glas completed a residency in family practice at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois. She is board certified in family practice and enjoys working with people of all ages. Her practice emphasizes preventive medicine and women’s health care concerns. Special areas of interest include skin disorders, smoking cessation, and the treatment of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and elevated cholesterol. She is a member of the medical staff at Central DuPage Hospital. John Pace obtained his Ph.D. in cardiovascular physiology from Loyola University and his M.D. from Rush Medical College. Besides being a physician at Wheaton Family Practice, Dr. Pace is the medical director for the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton and has experience in emergency medicine. On staff at Central DuPage Hospital, Dr. Pace sees the practice’s hospitalized patients on a daily basis and strongly believes in continuity of care and communication between healthcare professionals. His areas of expertise include geriatric medicine, minor office surgical procedures, and the treatment of acute and chronic health conditions. Dr. Glas and Dr. Pace believe in focusing on the needs of an individual patient or family one case at a time and truly value the relationship that develops between a physician and patient. Consider Wheaton Family Practice at Mona Kea your medical home, where you are always welcomed. To schedule an appointment, please call 630-665-6500.
