    Illness After Hours

    A physician is on call after hours to assist with urgent medical issues. Call 815 676 2575 to reach the answering service, who will contact the on call physician for you. If you have HMO insurance, you are required to obtain pre-authorization for emergency department visits from your physician, except in the case of life-threatening emergencies.


    Cancellations

    Please allow at least 24 hours notice for any cancellation. Patients can cancel an appointment by calling the office at 815 676 2575. A request to cancel an appointment can also be made through our automated reminder system.


    Referrals to Specialists

    Referrals to specialists within DuPage Medical Group usually are processed in 1-3 business days and referrals to specialists outside of DuPage Medical Group require 3-5 business days for processing. To check on the status of a referral, please contact one of our referral coordinators at 630 717 8707.


    Medication Refills

    All medication refills are done during regular office hours only. Narcotic and controlled substances refills also require the approval of a patient’s primary physician and are not filled on weekends or holidays. Mail order prescription requests must be picked up at the office and will not be faxed or mailed. Please allow 48-72 hours for a response to your request for a medication refill. To avoid any lapse in your medication regimen, patients should discuss the need for medication refills with the nurse or physician during their scheduled doctor’s appointment.
