Office Guidelines

Office Hours

Check in time is 15 minutes prior to appointment time.  Most physicals are booked out at least 6 weeks.  Forms that need to be filled out should be done at an office visit; otherwise we will apply charges as set by the DMG guidelines.

Illness After Hours

A physician is on call after hours to answer your urgent medical questions. Call 630 665 6200 to contact the on call physician.  If you have HMO insurance, you are required to obtain pre-authorization for emergency department visits from your physician, except in the case of life-threatening emergencies.

Laboratory Hours

The lab is open for blood draws from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and on most Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. No appointment is needed on weekdays.  A physician’s order for blood work is required.  Test results will be mailed to the patient in about 2 weeks unless there are abnormal results that need to be discussed, in that case, we will call the patients.

X-Ray Hours

The x-ray department is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Call 630 545 7880 to schedule an appointment. All x-rays require a physician’s order.

Referrals to Specialists

Referrals to specialists within DuPage Medical Group usually are processed in 1-3 business days and referrals to specialists outside of the DuPage Medical Group require 3-5 business days for processing.  To check on the status of a referral, contact utilization management at 630 942 7995.

Medication Refills

Please allow 48-72 hours for a response to your request for a medication refill.  We encourage patients to get their meds refilled at the time of their office visit. 

Narcotic and controlled substances refills are done by a patient’s primary physician and are not done on weekends or after hours.
