Dr. John Porcelli and Dr. Terry Donat were recently featured

A Chicago native, Dr. Porcelli brings extensive pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine expertise to his role at DuPage Medical Group. Prior to joining us, Dr. Porcelli developed an animal model of acute lung injury and performed research at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health. His comprehensive medical training also included time spent as an emergency room attending physician at Hines Veterans Administration Hospital from 2001-2004 and the emergency room observation unit at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center from 1999-2001. Dr. Porcelli’s clinical interests include lung cancer, emphysema, chronic cough, sarcoidosis, acute lung injury, adult asthma, sleep disorders and many other pulmonary diseases.
Dr. Porcelli received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1994 and his medical degree in 1998 from Rush Medical College in Chicago. In 2001, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He underwent intensive fellowship training in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood from 2001-2004 where he served as Chief Fellow from 2003-2004.
Dr. Porcelli is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Chicago Thoracic Society, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is affiliated with Central DuPage, Edward, and Good Samaritan hospitals. He also maintains an academic appointment at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Porcelli is a huge Chicago sports fan and exercise enthusiast who also enjoys furthering his education by staying up to date with new therapeutic options in his field.

Dr. Donat’s approach is intentionally designed to optimize your preferences and opportunities for comprehensive care among our collaborative, highly-experienced specialists. Each of our surgeons offers prominent state-of-the-art expertise or advanced fellowship training in one or more of the modern subspecialty fields of Otolaryngology: Otology, Rhinology, Laryngology, Pediatric Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In addition to providing conventional specialty care for both adults and children, Dr. Donat’s specific practice interests are focused upon treatments for disorders of nasal breathing, facial trauma, the primary treatment of benign tumors and cancers involving the skin or glands of the face, scalp and neck. Dr. Donat has exceptional experience in the advanced reconstruction of facial defects after tissue-sparing skin cancer surgery performed by dermatologists trained in the highly-effective Mohs technique.
Dr. Donat subspecializes in all modern aspects of facial aesthetic surgery such as rhinoplasty, otoplasty and the latest techniques in facelift, browlift, and eyelid procedures for rejuvenating the appearance of the aging face. Minimally-invasive aesthetic office treatments including laser skin resurfacing, scar revision, BOTOX and various aesthetic filler therapies, such as Restylane, Radiesse and Alloderm, are all available at greater convenience for treatment of your aesthetic concerns.
Dr. Donat received his medical degree in 1991 from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He completed his Surgical Internship and Otolaryngology Residency at Wayne State University in Detroit in 1996. He then completed a two-year National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Fellowship at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan in 1997. Dr. Donat subsequently completed a second Fellowship in advanced Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Minnesota in 1998. Dr. Donat is affiliated with Central DuPage Hospital, Edward Hospital and Advocate-Good Samaritan Hospital. He volunteers his specialty services for Access Dupage, the DuPage Community Clinic and the Face to Face Program, a national project focused upon the recovery of facial appearance for adult and childhood domestic violence victims.
Dr. Donat is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Aeronautical Medical Association, the Illinois State Medical Society and DuPage County Medical Society.
