Free Seminar on Restless Leg Syndrome offered by The Institute of Sleep Medicine of DuPage Medical Group and Dr. Andrew Korcek

Dr. Andrew Korcek will discuss Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) and associated periodic limb movements and their effect on sleep. RLS most often occurs in the evening and can severely disrupt sleep in addition to impacting daytime performance and quality of life.
After the presentation, there will be an open forum for questions dealing with general sleep issues, including obstructive sleep apnea and CPAP. All patients, families, caregivers, and the community are invited to attend this free educational event. Food and beverages will be provided.

DuPage Medical Group would like to congratulate Dr. Keith Monson on his Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons. The American College of Surgeons (ACS) admits to its Fellowship only those surgeons whose professional activity is devoted to surgical practice and who agree without compromise to practice by the professional and ethical standards of the College.
Fellowship in ACS is the organization’s way of noting outstanding achievement. Fellows, such as Dr. Monson, are recommended by their peers, endorsed by their local chapter leadership, and reviewed by a national credentials subcommittee. Dr. Mark Fisher, Urology, was Guest Speaker at the Urologic Nurses and Associates Annual Conference

Dr. Mark Fisher from the Dupage Medical Group Department of Urology was an invited speaker at the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates Annual Conference in Chicago on October 4, 2009. He gave a very well received hour lecture on robotic assisted surgery in urology with a specific focus on female pelvic reconstruction and prostatectomy.
Dr. Fisher is one of the robotically trained surgeons in DuPage Medical Group. Robotic assisted laparoscopic female pelvic floor reconstruction is available at DuPage Medical Group through both the gynecology and urology departments for several types of prolapse and pelvic floor disorders. Robotic assisted prostatectomy for prostate cancer is available through our urology department.
