Dr. Mark Fisher, Urology, Says Gene Therapy Shows Promise in Treating Bladder Cancer

DuPage Medical Group’s Dr. Mark Fisher worked on this study with other colleagues and is reported in Urology Times January 2010 publication. The bladder should be the ideal target organ for gene therapy. The bladder is isolated from vital organs and affords the opportunity for direct contact between vector and tumor. Easy access to urine and tissue facilitates monitoring of treatment effect.

If so, you may qualify to participate in a clinical research study for an injected investigational medication to reduce the amount of fat under the chin.
To Be Eligible You Must:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 65
- Have a stable body weight
- Be willing to have MRIs and blood drawn for lab work
- Be available for up to 15 clinic visits over an 8 month period

The Glen Ellyn Architectural Review Commission selected DuPage Medical Group for an Honorable Mention for the Traveling Trophy Award for commercial, institutional and multifamily development projects. The Traveling Trophy Award is presented each year to a project that promotes a coherent and unique community identity. The award acknowledges excellence in architecture that achieves the aesthetic objectives of the Village of Glen Ellyn. This award is intended to recognize owners, builders and architects for the extra effort all have given to providing the Village with an outstanding asset.
Located at 430 Pennsylvania Avenue in Glen Ellyn, our state-of-the-art building has upgraded medical equipment as well as a comprehensive women’s center designed to better serve our patients’ needs. Have You Been Diagnosed With Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)?

If so, you may qualify to participate in a clinical research study for an investigational inhaled medication.
To Be Eligible You Must:
- Be at least 40 years old and have moderate to severe COPD
- Have a smoking history of at least 10 pack years
- Not require daily oxygen therapy
- Be available weekday mornings for 9 clinic visits over a 4 month period
