DuPage Medical Group Adds Ophthalmology Services
DuPage Medical Group (DMG) announced today that it is now offering Ophthalmology Services. Dr. Charles S. Ahn, formerly of Midwest Center for Vision, joined the group November 1, 2007 and is seeing patients in Downers Grove at 1327 Butterfield Rd. Dr. Ahn is also performing surgical procedures at the Surgical Center of DuPage Medical Group, located at 2725 S. Technology Dr. in Lombard. Dr. Ahn will be performing Lasik correction at this location in the near future. In January 2008 DMG will expand services to their Glen Ellyn location through the addition of a new physician as well as a location in Naperville in the first quarter of the New Year.

Dr. Ahn is a cornea refractive specialist and is board certified in Ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Medical Association. He is affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital.

their most recent addition to the Department
of Ophthalmology, Anurag Gupta, M.D.
He is board certified in Ophthalmology and specializes in diseases of the retina
and vitreous. His clinical interests include surgical management of complex
retinal detachments, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He also
has extensive experience in laser surgery for retinal disorders of the eye.
Dr. Gupta earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of
Miami, completing an accelerated six year combined honors program in medical
education. He received his medical degree in 1996 from the University of Miami
School of Medicine. His residency in Ophthalmology was completed at the
Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York, New York and the Jules
Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles, respectively. After
his residency at Jules Stein, he also completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery
and was appointed to the faculty at UCLA.
Dr. Gupta is a member of the American Medical Association, President and
Founder of the Key West Retina Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology,
American Society of Retina Specialists, Pan-American Academy of
Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology,
Los Angeles Eye Society, International Society for Imaging in the Eye and
the American Medical Informatics Association. Dr. Gupta is affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital.
