On top of that, nearly 84 million adults in the United States have what’s considered pre-diabetes. Pre-diabetes is classified as elevated blood sugar that is not quite high enough to be considered diabetic. Once diagnosed, it is important to take action to control blood sugar to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and other health issues.
