Hearing Disorders

Hearing disorders fall into two different categories: permanent and non-permanent. Permanent hearing damage occurs when the inner ear nerve is damaged. Types of non-permanent hearing disorders occur when sound waves cannot reach the inner ear because of ear-wax blockage, an excess of fluid, or a punctured ear drum. Ear problems are caused by hereditary, trauma, a poor reaction to medication, hearing or continual exposure to loud noises.
