Check Yourself. Who Do You Screen For?
Breast health is important for women of all ages. With 1 in 8 U.S. women developing breast cancer over the course of her lifetime, its important to be proactive. Through the use of monthly self-breast exams, yearly clinical breast exams and yearly screening mammograms (starting at age 40) there are many ways to monitor your breast health throughout your life.
So why do you screen? Do you have someone in your life who has fought the battle with breast cancer? Are you a stickler for your yearly exams? Have you had a personal cancer scare?
Our doctors share their reasons for screening to remind each of us why a yearly mammogram should be on your to-do list.
