The Myths About The Flu Shot

There are many misconceptions about the flu shot that make the rounds each year.

It’s the time of year to start thinking about protecting yourself and your family against influenza. The most effective way to protect against the illness is to get the flu vaccine. Just like last year, we’re recommending that everyone in your family, 6 months of age and older, including pregnant women, get the flu vaccine. Each year along with the recommendation come several myths about the flu shot. Below, Dr. Charles Schwartz, Internal Medicine Physician, sets the record straight.
