DuPage Medical Group Announces Interim Leadership Transition Plan

DOWN­ERS GROVE, Ill. — Fol­low­ing the pass­ing of its beloved chief exec­u­tive offi­cer, Michael A. Kasper, DuPage Med­ical Group (DMG) today announced it will be imple­ment­ing an inter­im lead­er­ship tran­si­tion plan. As part of the plan, the DMG Board of Direc­tors has appoint­ed DMG pres­i­dent, Dr. Paul Mer­rick, and DMG chief finan­cial offi­cer, Michael Pacetti, as co-chief exec­u­tive offi­cers of DMG on an inter­im basis, effec­tive immediately.

Both Mer­rick and Pacetti have exten­sive expe­ri­ence with the orga­ni­za­tion. Mer­rick has been in prac­tice at DMG since 1994 and has served as pres­i­dent since 2009. Pri­or to serv­ing as pres­i­dent, he served as chair­man of DMG’s urol­o­gy depart­ment for 13 years and also served as both trea­sur­er and a mem­ber of the DMG Board of Direc­tors. As pres­i­dent, Mer­rick works close­ly with the DMG lead­er­ship team to guide and improve all aspects of patient care.

Pacetti, who has also been with DMG for more than 20 years, over­sees cash man­age­ment, account­ing, bud­get­ing and plan­ning, finan­cial report­ing, patient accounts, cod­ing and com­pli­ance, safe­ty and risk man­age­ment and physi­cian recruit­ment in his role as chief finan­cial offi­cer. In 2012, Pacetti was select­ed as an hon­oree by Dai­ly Her­ald Busi­ness Ledger’s first annu­al ​“CFO of the Year Awards”.
