Diego Villacis, MD
Hand and Upper Extremity, Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine
My goals are simple — all my patients leave clinic with a complete understanding of their diagnosis, fully aware of their treatment plan and having all questions answered. My clinical specialty is the performance of shoulder and elbow surgery on patients ranging from the elite athlete to those hoping to return to the activities of daily life without pain. Despite being a surgeon, the reality is most orthopaedic conditions can be successfully treated without surgery. I evaluate many patients who come for second opinions where we can successfully manage their condition without an operation. If conservative management has failed or is not appropriate, I will discuss with the patient the best surgical procedure for their diagnosis and help them understand what to expect, the risks, the benefits and alternatives.
