"On June 8, I crashed on my bicycle riding N. on West side of Fox River in Batavia. Went off path and into bushes over rocks and boulders resulting in ER treating left forefinger and sending me to hospital emergency at Delnor in Geneva. Treatment for left shoulder showed no breakage, but possible muscle bruising. No ex rays taken. Finger x-ray showed no breakage, but required 6 stitches on the knuckle. PP Doctor seen 2 days later. I was now suffering extreme pain in left shoulder and was put on tramadolHCL 50 mg every 6 hours for 7 days , with little of now relief. Contacted DPM for sports medicine doctor. He put through a battery of movements and said he felt it was nerve damage, and prescribed Prednisone for 6 days, and I experienced little pain and went for an MRI and am waiting the results now."

"The point is that after the Doctor had my exams in his hands (few days later the MRI) he never gave me a call or invited me to go back and see him again to discuss the possible treatments for my case. He only discussed it partially because I sent a message asking him about it. In Brazil, where I am from, every time you go to a doctor and he asks for an exam, he will for sure make an appointment for you to go back to clear any doubt about the results of your exams and what are the possible treatments. This is the least thing I should expect form a doctor in USA... unfortunately, this is not the case and was not the first time... I wonder if the physicians in USA think that all people around the nation had a degree in medicine and clearly understand what the results of an exam mean and there is no need to to talk to them about it. Moreover, I think this extremely unprofessional and a bad practice. In my case with doctor Gonzalez, he answered quickly 2 messages that I sent to him, but not the third one and most important. I wonder if I never had sent a message to him, would he had called me to clear things out and tell me what he found out in the MRI exam? He attended me very well and was kind during my visit... but this does not make it any better if I do not know what I should do with my exams..."
