Spyglass Cholangiopancereatoscopy


Spy­glass cholan­giopancereatoscopy is a pro­ce­dure that allows for bet­ter visu­al­iza­tion of the bile ducts and pan­creas when oth­er imag­ing tech­niques are insuf­fi­cient. This pro­ce­dure uses a 6,000 pix­el fiber optic probe attached to a tiny cam­era to thor­ough­ly exam­ine the bile and/​or pan­cre­at­ic ducts with high­ly detailed imag­ing. This helps to diag­nose and treat var­i­ous pan­cre­at­ic and bile duct con­di­tions such a duct stones and cancer.
