CT

Computerized Axial Tomography, otherwise known as CT, is a piece of equipment that uses ionizing radiation to produce cross sectional images of the body. These images have three dimensional capabilities to allow the radiologist to better visualize your anatomy. CT technology has greatly improved over the years, allowing technologists to obtain greater image quality with much less radiation dose to the patient. DMG has invested in special software which significantly reduces radiation to our patients.

DMG's high resolution scanners provide patients with increased comfort and convienence. The increased speed of our scanners means less time on the table for your exam. Most CT scans can be completed in as little as 5-10 minutes. Newer CT scanners also feature wider openings and increased weight limits.

CT/CTA services at DuPage Medical Group are accredited by the American College of Radiology and the technologists performing your exam are board certified in this modaility. After your exam, a radiologist sub-specialized in reading and interpreting CT's will review your images and communicate the results with your physician.

Accreditations

All DMG Radiology sites have national accreditation from the American College of Radiology, including distinction as a Breast Care Center of Excellence.
