Pelvic Health

In addition to the normal aging process for women, a combination of stress on the female body from childbearing, undergoing abdominal or pelvic surgery, or weight management issues may all contribute to the development of conditions such as pelvic muscle weakness, organ prolapse or incontinence. At DMG, skilled and specially trained Women’s Health Physical Therapists can treat for these conditions with specifically designed restorative and preventative exercises. Treatment plans are individualized and based on a comprehensive initial assessment and may include posture and spinal alignment training, and abdominal and pelvic floor strengthening with the goal of facilitating symptom free return to work and recreational activities.
