Dr. Paul Merrick, a board-certified and renowned urologist, serves as co-CEO of DuPage Medical Group (DMG) – the largest independent, multi-specialty physician group in Illinois.
In his role as co-CEO, Dr. Merrick leads DMG’s executive leadership team and Board of Directors to set the organization’s strategic vision with a goal of making healthcare better for its patients and community by offering high quality and compassionate care. He also ensures DMG’s physician-driven approach continues to lead to exceptional physician engagement and improved patient outcomes.
As a key business-decision maker, Dr. Merrick has played an important role in DMG’s growth. DMG is currently comprised of more than 750 physicians and 50 specialties in over 120 Chicagoland locations.
Dr. Merrick also helped establish the organization’s charitable foundation, the DMG Charitable Fund, which supports and grants funding to more than 25 Chicagoland nonprofit organizations that provide access to food, affordable housing and healthcare/wellness services to those in need.
He has been in practice at DMG since 1994, took on the role of president in 2009 and was appointed co-CEO in 2019. He previously served as chairman of DMG’s urology department for 13 years and also served as both treasurer and a member of the DMG Board of Directors.
Dr. Merrick earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed his residency at Rush University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident of urology.
Dr. John Porcelli is a board-certified physician in critical care, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine and president of DuPage Medical Group (DMG). In his role as president, Dr. Porcelli works closely with the DMG leadership team to guide and improve all aspects of patient care, ensure continuous physician engagement and drive growth initiatives for the organization.
A strong advocate for physician-led care, Dr. Porcelli leads physicians in problem-solving and developing solutions for achieving higher quality, lower cost outpatient care. He also works to assure physicians have influence and opportunity in how they practice medicine.
Dr. Porcelli has been in practice at DMG since 2004 and was appointed president in 2019. Prior to his role as president, Dr. Porcelli served as treasurer and as a member of the DMG Board of Directors, chairman of DMG’s critical care, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine department, medical director of the intensive care unit at a local hospital and as a leader on several internal and external committees.
As a full-time practicing physician, Dr. Porcelli brings extensive experience in treating lung cancer, COPD, acute lung injury, adult asthma, sleep disorders, sepsis and many other diseases related to his specialties.
Dr. Porcelli earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from Rush Medical College. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Rush University Medical Center and later completed fellowship training in critical care, pulmonary medicine and sleep medicine at Loyola University Medical Center, where he also served as chief fellow.
A board-certified physician in Family Practice and Secretary of DuPage Medical Group, Dr. Michael Fitzgerald is an experienced family medicine physician whose expertise includes diabetes, asthma, sports medicine and acute care issues. Dr. Fitzgerald focuses on teaching families, including children and the elderly, how to stay healthy, active, and injury-free. He has instructed medical students in a variety of settings, including family practice clinics, intensive care units and pediatric and obstetric wards.
Dr. Fitzgerald is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. He is affiliated with Edward Hospital.
Dr. Fitzgerald has been a member of the DMG Family Practice Department since 2001. He earned his medical degree in 1998 from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill., and completed his residency at MacNeal Family Practice in Berwyn, Ill.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Jean Houlihan strives to partner with her patients to manage a healthy lifestyle. Her clinical interests include women’s health, preventive care, cardiac health and cholesterol management.
Dr. Houlihan has been practicing in DuPage County since 1995. She received her degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. While completing her internship and residency at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, she received a Robert E. Slayton Prize for Special Competence, Sensitivity and Compassion in Medical Oncology and a Department of Internal Medicine Award for Excellent Work as a Resident.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Mathew Philip specializes in the management of patients with complex health issues through DuPage Medical Group's (DMG) BreakThrough Care Center. He also serves as treasurer of DMG.
Dr. Philip joined DMG in 2009 and was appointed treasurer in 2019. He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Donald Hoscheit is a board-certified gastroenterologist and the chief medical officer of DuPage Medical Group (DMG). In his role as chief medical officer, he oversees physician performance and empowers physicians to ensure they have the support needed to drive positive results for their patients and the organization.
He has been in practice at DMG for more than 30 years and has since held many leadership roles within and outside the organization. In addition to serving as chief medical officer, he serves as a member of the DMG Board of Directors and as a leader on several of DMG’s internal committees. He also serves on the Physician’s Leadership Council and Credentials Committee at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and the finance committee at his church.
Dr. Hoscheit also continues to practice gastroenterology full-time, specializing in diseases and disorders of the digestive tract, endoscopic surgery, colon cancer detection and screening, colitis, Crohn's disease and peptic ulcer disease.
He earned his medical degree from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed his internship, residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in clinical gastroenterology at the Loyola University Medical Center. He is a fellow of both the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Christina E. Bratis has extensive experience as a hospitalist. She is affiliated with Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Edward Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, and speaks English and German.
Dr. Bratis joined DMG in August 2009. She received her medical degree in 2005 from Rush University Medical College and served as chief resident in internal medicine at University of Illinois.
A board-certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Shilpa Reddy Cherukupally has more than 15 years of experience within her specialty. Her medical interests include minimally invasive sinus surgery, in-office balloon sinuplasty, sinus surgery in adults and children, treatment of nasal obstruction and snoring in adults and children as well as pediatric otolaryngology conditions.
She previously served as director of pediatric otolaryngology at Cornell Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital as well as the assistant professor of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Cornell Medical School.
Dr. Cherukupally joined DMG in August 2005. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1997. She completed her residency at Harvard Medical School and her pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital. Dr. Cherukupally is affiliated with Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Edward Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital.
A board-certified member of DuPage Medical Group’s internal medicine and pediatrics departments, Dr. David Dungan is an experienced internist who specializes in infant, child and adolescent healthcare. He is a certified provider of neonatal advanced life support (NALS) and basic life support, as well as a certified instructor in advanced cardiac life support. His special areas of clinical interest include cholesterol, hypertension, nutrition and preventive medicine, including obesity prevention. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Dungan chairs the data committee and serves as medical advisor for the Fighting Obesity Reaching healthy Weight Among Residents of DuPage (FORWARD) initiative in DuPage County, which is dedicated to building community based systems to counter the growing problem of childhood obesity and its complications. In addition, Dr. Dungan is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. He is affiliated with Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Dungan joined DMG in 2000. Prior to joining DuPage Medical Group, Dr. Dungan received his medical degree in 1988 from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood. He completed his combined Residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Loyola University Medical Center/Foster McGaw Hospital.
Board-certified in Radiology, Dr. Juliet Fallah serves on our radiology team and is the radiation safety officer of DuPage Medical Group. She developed policies and implemented protocols for DMG patients to minimize and track imaging radiation exposure.
Dr. Fallah has been practicing at DuPage Medical Group for several years, following her work at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital where she developed the PET/CT program as well as the CT angiography program. She completed her fellowship training in chest imaging at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Mike Pacetti serves as CFO and co-CEO of DuPage Medical Group (DMG) – the largest independent, multi-specialty physician group in Illinois.
Pacetti, who has been with DMG for more than 20 years, leads DMG’s executive leadership team and Board of Directors to set the organization’s business strategy – with a goal of making healthcare better for its patients and community by offering high quality and compassionate care. In his role, he oversees strategic and financial planning, cash management, accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, patient accounts, coding and compliance, safety and risk management and physician recruitment.
In 2012, Pacetti was selected as an honoree by Daily Herald Business Ledger’s first annual “CFO of the Year Awards”. Prior to joining DMG, he was the controller of Suburban Heights Medical Center, a group practice in the South suburbs of Chicago with over 60 physicians and a variety of ancillary services, including a surgery center.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in in accounting from Illinois State University and is a certified public accountant.
As Chief Operating Officer of DuPage Medical Group, Donna Cooper focuses on maintaining efficiencies in operations and guiding future strategic growth, optimizing the operations of DMG’s practice sites, as well as collaborating with physicians and functional leaders throughout the organization to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Cooper joined DMG in 2018 with more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience, most recently serving as chief operating officer of Advocate Medical Group (AMG), where she was employed since 2007. In a previous role, she served as president of Advocate Dreyer Medical Clinic where she directed various healthcare business operations on all levels.
Prior to her tenure with Advocate, Cooper worked as the chief financial officer and then CEO of Physicians Clinic of Iowa. She also previously held positions at a managed care company where she negotiated payer, vendor and Physician-Hospital Organization (PHO) contracts.
Cooper is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees
With more than 15 years of experience in health care IT, Nick Martin serves as the Chief Technology Officer of DuPage Medical Group. As a key leader on the executive management team, he provides expertise in application development, infrastructure, analytics and consumer experience.
Prior to joining DMG in 2018, he held positions with UnitedHealth Group’s Optum, first as vice president of innovation research and development, then as CIO of its international division, where he directed all aspects of technology, from strategic planning and desktop support to transforming and implementing IT platforms to support business growth in the U.K., South America and Australia.
Martin also previously served as the senior information technology director of UnitedHealthcare Medicare and Retirement, as well as the information technology director of Pharmacy Solutions/Consumer Health Products, where he established the vision and executed the information technology strategy for sales, marketing and service businesses.
Martin’s passion lies in the development of health care technologies. He is a digital transformation evangelist and innovator, who has developed award-winning mobile applications designed to drive consumer engagement and improve individuals’ health and wellbeing.
Tracey Salinski serves as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Legal of DuPage Medical Group (DMG). With more than 20 years of specialized legal experience, she has deep expertise in corporate healthcare legal matters, including mergers, acquisitions and healthcare regulatory matters. In her role, she is responsible for developing DMG’s enterprise legal strategies and oversees its legal department, which includes compliance and risk management. She also provides valueable legal counsel to DMG’s executive leadership team, Board of Directors and physicians.
Prior to joining DMG, she held positions with law firms and healthcare organizations in the Chicagoland area, most recently serving as Associate General Counsel at Sonova US. She was previously a supervising attorney at Inside Out Legal, LLC, where she provided legal advice as interim Chief Legal Officer to a regional hospital system. Before moving to an in-house role, Salinski was a partner in the healthcare group at Arnstein & Lehr.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, J.D. degree from Michigan State University College of Law and Master of Laws from The John Marshall Law School.
