DuPage Medical Group Announces Interim Leadership Transition PlanMay 8, 2019
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — Following the passing of its beloved chief executive officer, Michael A. Kasper, DuPage Medical Group (DMG) today announced it will be implementing an interim leadership transition plan. As part of the plan, the DMG Board of Directors has appointed DMG president, Dr. Paul Merrick, and DMG chief financial officer, Michael Pacetti, as co-chief executive officers of DMG on an interim basis, effective immediately.
Both Merrick and Pacetti have extensive experience with the organization. Merrick has been in practice at DMG since 1994 and has served as president since 2009. Prior to serving as president, he served as chairman of DMG’s urology department for 13 years and also served as both treasurer and a member of the DMG Board of Directors. As president, Merrick works closely with the DMG leadership team to guide and improve all aspects of patient care.
“We are committed to building on Mike Kasper’s legacy by continuing the great work that he so passionately believed in,” said Merrick. “Shoulder to shoulder, we will continue to make healthcare better for our patients and community by offering high quality and compassionate care.”
Pacetti, who has also been with DMG for more than 20 years, oversees cash management, accounting, budgeting and planning, financial reporting, patient accounts, coding and compliance, safety and risk management and physician recruitment in his role as chief financial officer. In 2012, Pacetti was selected as an honoree by Daily Herald Business Ledger’s first annual “CFO of the Year Awards”.
“Mike Kasper and I worked in lockstep with Paul and our Board of Directors to establish the strategic vision and lay the groundwork that will guide DMG for many years to come,” said Pacetti. “Our leadership team and Board of Directors will always work together closely to ensure that DMG continues to thrive.”
