Radio Frequency Ablation for Barrett's Esophagus

Radio Fre­quen­cy Abla­tion (RFA) for Bar­ret­t’s Esoph­a­gus is a pro­ce­dure that uses a spe­cial catheter in the esoph­a­gus to deliv­er RF ener­gy in order to cre­ate a super­fi­cial burn in the esoph­a­gus that destroys Barrett’s Esoph­a­gus tissue.

The RFA pro­ce­dure decreas­es the risk of devel­op­ing esophageal can­cer by elim­i­nat­ing the Bar­ret­t’s tissue.
