Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic condition where gastric contents move up the esophagus and cause issues such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing and regurgitating stomach acid into the throat or mouth. Our Gastroenterologists use transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF) to endoscopically treat GERD to help provide relief from its symptoms. During the procedure the doctor will feed the endoscope through a TIF device that will allow them to repair or recreate the body’s natural barrier to reflux without having to make any incisions.
